my understanding is that you cannot turn cross drilled rotors. I have not confirmed this though, but it makes sense, as the cutting tool would seem to get hung up in the holes and break.

Ed, from what I understand from my machinist, cross drilled rotors have to be resurfaced on a machine that does the clutch surface on flywheels. It uses stones in a rotary motion instead of a cutting tool.
