Form follows function.

So what is the purpose of this modification?

There is a function if you don't have the later full wheel well liners.

It allows the high pressure air above the tire at speed to vent out, Ferrari did it with the 458 among others.

Just make sure you place the slots in a low pressure area of the fender so air isn't forced into the fender well.

+1

Just cutting slits in the aluminum doesn't cut it and why most modifications end up looking half-assed. If you cut the louvers in the same style & quality as a factory job, that will go a long way towards them looking good & proper.

IMO these mods are a mixed bag. The 911's with these louvers had a lot more going on than just the louvers. For starters.....duh, the slant nose, but also the brake vents in the rear fender, front splitters were different etc.... It's a complete package. Just adding these louvers to an otherwise stock 911 looks goofy (yes it has been done).

Liked what Matt did on his RS Project...louvers in the hood as mentioned^^. Form & function. T

^^Liked Strikemaster's opinion of hood vs fender vents. That is all. T

I was thinking about maybe adding these Jag hood vents, especially since the hood got hit in the hail storm.

Wait, fender louvers, chameleon paint and carbon fiber Jaguar vents? Where am I again?
I thought I was on the WRX forum for a minute.

Just throw on some Monster stickers, bright green Hella Flush ebay wheels and leave everything else stock. Because racecar.

Then first start making it go/stop faster otherwise you are just ricing the car out.
