no power to PSD unit
Hey, I need help !
In the key-on position there is suppose to be power to the PSD pump. I get nothing. I've checked the fuse in the spare tire area and it is good and it is sending power into the relay beside it.
Also swapped out the relay with another. No luck
Any thoughts ?
Thanks,
Tim

I am well acquainted with my own PSD. Still having issues - not like yours.
First things first are you sure you have power at the pump?
Does 12volts from a battery charger or your battery operate the pump?
FYI looking at the motor connector the left side is positive and right is ground.
Like our fuel pump if you bridge 30 and 87 on the relay the motor should operate with the fuse in place. Bridging the relay should send 12 volts to fuse and onto the pump.

Hey Kevin, thanks for your input:
I jumped 30 & 87 and the pumped worked so I replaced the relay with another one my other car and....still doesn't work.
thoughts ?

The pressure switch completes the circuit(switched ground) to tell the pump to run, so the switch itself is suspect. It thinks the vessel is pressurized. Hence no power to the pump.

Hmmm, interesting.
I have two pressure switches that look like they are in good condition and I've tried both.
They are either both faulty or it's something else.
Looks like we have the same problem Kevin.
So frustrating !!
