Default Way Out Of My Comfort Zone

Got underneath the car tonight and....holy snappin' ducksh$t I am in way over my head. I am gunna need some serious forum knowledge getting all this back together. If it wasn't so rare I would have just done the belt and pump and drove the snot out of it.
So guys, in the coming months I can see some stupid questions coming your way. I'd rather stupid questions than make stupid mistakes though.

Don't worry Scott. It looks like you have all the tools you need here to get everything back together. The plastic putty knife and Vaseline will really come in handy!

Scott,

Looks like fun mate. Front suspension is pretty easy though I've never installed the main cross member with the engine already in !. Looks like plenty of new parts which is nice.

Anything engine I'd leave to the experts (of that I am not).

Take your time.

Ask as many questions as you need and you'll be fine.

And don't rush things. Take a (long) brake when needed.

I've been through most of what your pics show.
Ain't no mecanic...

With patience and time, You'll be good.

Frad -- Those are period-correct Gulf-Porsche livery. Colors in the key of life (at the time...).

The only thing I see is your trying to do to much all at the same time. Put the suspension back together then jump into the engine. If you take to much apart over a long period of time than trying to remember what goes where becomes difficult. Then you end up doing things twice because you realize you left out a washer or spacer or some simple thing.

Bob,

I do not think Scott is in any danger of being sued for using those ghastly shades of blue and pink. I was never over enthused about the true Gulf Porsche livery- just the cars.

I thought it looked pink in the pics, but then maybe it's just my crap eyes. It is red though. I'll take another later to show you.
