[I]See the stain on the side of piston head? The stain I'm referring to is that white botched area from white to grey. Not the straight line across left to right, that's from me laying piston sideways and it drying up over the span of the day.

Remove the rings from each piston. Buy a gallon can of Berryman's ChemDip cleaner, you can soak two pistons at a time to soften up the carbon. Don't use anything stronger than a toothbrush on the sides of the pistons, you don't want to disturb the iron (ferroki coating on the skirts.
