i left my car with Andy at A&A Corvette while out of the country for a few weeks. Dyno came in at 523HP at rear wheels with 486 torque.......around 625HP at the fly wheel. My intake is a little restrictive, which was expected due to the fitment, but is still pretty good. If I decide to make another intake, Andy suggests using a MAF sensor off the Cadillac, which will help with the flow reading. As of right now, not going to make any changes, because it is "STUPID" fast and does not have enough tire. Once I'm done burning these tires up, I will see if I can squeeze 295's and a softer compound to help.

Dang, that would be a blast to drive. Hell, just looking at it would make me feel giddy.

Amazing build!
This thread is going to be one of those "legendary" threads, like Tony's "Just Peachy".

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
The car drives really nice and the power is impressive, but there is still some work to be done. The car needs to go back for paint on the fender for the third time. I have had hair line cracks where the fender was rolled. When you weld it, new weak points show up. I think I have it fixed thanks to Dinsdale suggestion of a automotive aluminum epoxy and piece of aluminum on the back side. The fender feels very strong now.
I will install the front brake upgrade this weekend (waited 6 months for parts) and then its just driving the car and shaking down any issues, so far nothing major other than CV cage, which was replaced and has had some hard pulls on the dyno,......seems to be fixed.
My time has been focused on a sand car i bought, so I really need to stay on top of the 928 and get it 100% done....it just sucks when you have to wait on others to do there work and then it takes for ever......I lose interest quickly.

Boy I wish someone still made those S3 brake conversion mounts. That was a sweet set up for not having to change out the S3 spindles.

I mentioned to my buddy who made the mounts that there might be a demand for them. I suppose if there where enough people interested to make a production run, he might be interested.
I know the rears fit and will be able to confirm the fronts this weekend.

Finally got the front brake upgrade done. I ordered the calipers and rotors months ago for both the front and rear, because months went by waiting for my buddy to make the mounts, I never checked to see if the front rotors were correct, which I found out last week they were not. The rotors had too much offset and hit the new mounts, so after confirming with Dinsdale, I ordered the correct Cayenne rotors and everything went together perfectly. I am impressed with the stopping power........well worth the wait.

Stock brakes

Upgrade

I am in the process of doing the same conversion to a 1981 five speed. I have purchased the adapter hubs from 928 Motorsports but not the transaxle mount as yet. Are there alternatives to altering the torque tube. Is it possible to use it as is maybe with spacers? The length is pretty close as it.

Hi Arneil,
Dinsdale is the originator of the vette rear end swap and uses the stock length vette torque tube, no modification. Carl's 928 conversion kit has the TT being modified, plus he modifies the rear 928 cross member for the trans. I would suggest buying Carl's kit, which more or less bolts right in or see if Dinsdale is still doing the conversions. If you try to tackle this on your own, best of luck with that.
