Default New owner in Sacramento

Hello everyone,

Quick intro...I've been interested in 928s for a long time and in the last few months ended up with 2 of them, an 82 and an 86.5.

I'm not new to cars, but new to Porsches. Now looking for a shop around Sacramento to do some work on it. I love to wrench but my life doesn't allow it these days.

And lastly, a public thank you to BC in San Diego. I'm just a regular guy who bought a cool car from a super cool guy...a great start to a great ownership journey.

And a great bunch of folks here, too!

Welcome! I live in midtown, do my own wrenching but I know Ron at IPB Autosport works on them. He's always got a few sitting around. Have not heard anything bad about him, but worth looking into.

Nice looking 928s!!

Nice Start!

Man that car looks smooth in those pics. Always loved the rubstrip delete.

For old-timers - this is an old-socal group car that some may recognize. The previous, previous owner and car were very active in the early 2000s, but life happened and he stopped driving it as much, culminating in a storage period.

I cleaned it up, and did quite a bit of maintenance including a ritech clamp, and then basically dropped it off in Sacto and flew home.

Such an original car. Including jump post cover and all.

Welcome to the Sac area. If you are in the Rocklin area, I like Salerno Motorsports. That is where I take my 997 and they do a great job.

Welcome to the shark tank. Let me know if you need anything, I'm probably right around the corner from you. I don't have any shop recommendations, but would be happy to assist if you need to do some wrenching.

BTW, are you sure you bought that from Brendan?...cuz it looks to be in one piece...

Thanks everyone.

As far as the car being in one piece, the muffler WAS in the trunk, but close enough.

I had Brendan install the Ritech, Greg's fuel lines, rebuilt MAF and refresh the ignition system before delivering to me.

Next on my list is TB/WP/Porken tensioner.

Rich, I appreciate your offer to help wrench. I'm sure we're very near one another.

Nice cars Canh! Welcome! I was bummed that I didn't buy that gold car before BC got it. He has the luxury of living right by the seller :-). Love the gold paint. Interior looks to be pristine except for the dash. Jealous!
