What's this Turbo pipe do?
Hello all,
After a number of years of oil leaks I have decided to tackle my 931's leaks head on. A few nights ago I was under my car trying to find all my oil leaks (it's a bit difficult as I seem to have an oil flood!) and I noticed a rubber pipe hooking the square part of my turbo to the engine block looked as if it needs to be replaced. Anyhow I looked through the trusty Haynes manual and found a picture of the pipe on pp 120, fig 4.19 in which they call it the forward hose. Could someone please tell me what this 'forward hose' does and possibly suggest the outcome if it splits into two.
Great to see Rennlist still going strong, I once frequently posted on the site however I've been quite slack in the last few years. I'm looking forward to catching up on my reading.
Thanks

Ah, I think I know what you mean! Er, maybe not. Can you provide a picture? There are many sources of oil leaks on the 931, and I've had most if not all of them. What do you mean by the "square" part of the turbo? The compressor bypass valve? Has a funny name on the 931, can't remember what they called it...
