Thanks! Yes my intent is to keep it stock and unmolested.
Thanks!
I definitely will. I have owned cars much faster than this one. But speed is not everything in a car. I have had two AMGs. Both very fast but boring at times. My 95 and 84 911s were my favorite cars from a drivers standpoint (overall to) and they were not even close to being as fast as the Mercs. There is something to be said about the feel of a car other than how fast it is in a straight line. My brother and I have own the new and the old as far as cars are concerned. The older cars (all of which were in great shape) are the ones we always talk about with fondness.
Thanks man

Thanks guys. The condition of the car is what attracted me to it. Can't wait to get it in the morning.

hello fellow owner ~
your vin # shows it to be one of the last of them made for import into America.
We are about 1,000 numbers distant. Am guessing yours was made toward the end of the model year. Mine is a very early '89, so actually built in '88.
Looks to be a very fine example of these most potent of the 944 models made. There sure doesn't seem to be many that surface, and those that do, look no where as nice as your car. Please cherish and keep it in as great of condition as you found it. It will reward in spades !

So there are Porsche dealerships who are "Porsche Classic Partners" who do a thing called a "Porsche Classic Vehicle Inspection". First I've heard of these terms.

Congrats!
I was wondering who bought that sweet '89 in Colorado Springs.

Thanks brother. Back in the Porsche family. It's been a little while.

For reference I'm in the 900's with an 11/88 build. Production typically would have run Aug to June, with July as the factory shutdown/vacation/retooling month (not 100% for certain about 1989 MY year)
Of course, he did pay the requisite admission fee for the privilege

Maybe not. US and Canada followed the same Chassis Numbering scheme, so that only puts him about halfway through total North American production. Of course he could always tell us what the under-hood sticker says, and that would be definitive.

That is certainly true.

Hey I'm interested. What does the sticker look like? I'll take a picture of it. I took a picture of a few but didn't really see anything that would indicate time built.
