After replacing my early hatch seal I noticed that my right mount was cracked. I think it's aluminum. It's so badly corroded that I couldn't weld it. The pn is 476827034A and they are almost $100 each online. I noticed that the portion with cheese head is in good shape and bolts well to frame. The rest is shot. I'm wondering if it should just forget about it.

Ya, that thing's junk. You can probably get a used one for much cheaper, try Lart.

Hey - reviving this thread... I need to replace those as well. But, how do they mount back on the hatch, I can't find much info online about what to do once I remove them?

I'm not sure I understand... they bolt back on the same way they came off, 2 bolts.
