Default Possible oil leaks near right front

Had a lot of oil leaks near the oil pan gasket. I torqued them all down to spec and looks like most of the leaks are gone. However, still seeing a little oil near the front right of the engine.

Thoughts on possible areas of leaks.

The hoses to/from the oil cooler on your 951 are known to start leaking at the crimped ferrule as they age.

Can buy new ones from Porsche, or you can take your old hoses to a hydraulic hose shop and have them re-made for cheaper.

It could be the cam tower gasket.... I just had to do mine, oil was starting to leak on the exhaust...

Lots of possibilities in that area, oil pressure sender is a common one. Balance shaft seal is another. Degrease, inspect, repair, repeat until all leaks are eliminated

I'm trying to solve leaks in the same area right now. I have everything disassembled and will be replacing every gasket and seal in the area.... plus the PS reservoir return line.

I guess I'll have my oil cooler lines checked/replaced as well.

It doesn't help that the oil filter will leak down on everything.

Did mine a few years back. Seems clean. Also checked the rear cover and it was dry.

My guess is that it is either your lower balance shaft seal or something in the oil cooler assembly (pressure sensor, pressure relief valve, cooler seal or oil lines). You can eliminate the balance shaft seal by taking the outer timing cover off and looking around in there.

If it were something on the top of the engine (cam tower) I suspect it would drip onto the exhaust at some point and you would smell it along with having the drip.
