You should be able to loosen the bolts on the hinges and scoot it forward a bit..

Check that battery box for rust so you don't get a leak into your interior, and it's a good idea to clean the sunroof drains out with weed whip line so you don't get a leak there either..
Thanks for the tips! The hood was open haha. Yes, the wheels came from a 928. Got new brakes, exhaust, tyres, rebuilt gearbox etc.

I've never actually seen an European 924 with battery box rust to be honest.
Well one of mine has some surface rust but that's about it...and no leak ofcourse.

A little update on the car. Currently working on the interiors, will send the dash to Werk924, in germany, where it will be restored (Can't wait to see a crack-free dashboard). I will soon disassemble some of the exterior panels and get everything repainted.

Big congrats! Very nice example. I'd love something similar. Have a soft sport for the 931.

Looking good.

What do they get for the dash restore?

Have you done the pad swap before?

Sorry for the late reply, it has been a while. I came back to post some pictures of the car, now almost ready. I sent them some pictures and they told me it wasn´t fixable... I ordered a replacement dash.

Here are a few pics of the progress. She is looking fresh and pulling hard!
All she needs now is the side plastic trim and decal.
