WTB: john milledge cam
Let me know if anyone has one laying around. Looking to add a cam and MAF to the 944 Chump/AER car this winter.
Thanks,
Paddy

Thanks Jeff. Yeah I already picked up the Rouge/Lindsay MAF system. Just rebuilt the motor too:
bored to 101mm and re-silicon/carbide impregnated- so it is a 2.55 Liter.
New 10.6:1 Woosner 101mm Pistons.
oil pickup modification for road racing
crank scraper
new turbo valve springs.
micro-polished 1988 Porsche 944 turbo crank
forged 944 turbo connecting rods.
turbo oil housing with huge oil cooler in nose panel

with a really hot cam i could see that happening. that'd make a hoot of a car.
user Noahs944 was recently selling a John Milledge cam.
did you get the NA-tune tuning kit as well (so you can adjust fuel/spark)?
i got 136rwhp from a tweaked NA-tune and stock early NA cam advanced 2 degrees.

Thanks, it appears Noah sold that cam to a follow Canadian 944er. Yep, picked up a tuning kit and will have the car dyno tuned at Behe in Maryland.

That would be a serious contender for chump. We're placing in the top 3rd of the field with a completely stock, likely 120whp 8V NA @ 2450 lbs.
At 160whp? That would be screamin.
A mix of 10.6 pistons and turbo components like your build is exactly how I'd rebuild an engine for our chumpcar if we had to, so again, very interested to see how yours turns out. I'd also love to pick your brain on the boring/coating process and how that turned out.
Good luck with the build.

I need to redo the dash and I'm also looking for a new dash, I like the Broadfoot one, but won't buy anything from those guys. Any other options for a stock looking dash? I don't plan on placing the factory gauges back in either. Will install either an AIM system of Stack dash.

the early 944 dash, bare, is under 7 lbs. if you wanted to try to fit that into your car...as long as you remove the original climate control stuff.
most racer folks just cut the passenger side of the dash out.

The car has a late 86 dash, but it's all cut/jacked up and I want to add some additional gauges. Might just pick up another stock dash and hack it up better this time.
