Video of 944 GTR at Brainerd Trans AM race from 1987
Ran across this video on youtube, not sure if it's been posted here before. Fabcar 944 GTR turbo racing at Brainerd Raceway in the 1987 Trans Am series, Elliot Forbes Robinson and Bruce Jenner driving. They have good coverage of the EFR car since it was on the pole and led the race for a bit. Nice in car footage from the GTR too. The GTRs are great cars ... Enjoy!

I was at that race and actually got EFR and Bruce Jenner's autographs.
Two months ago at Road America, Elliot Forbes Robinson sat at the same picnic table as a few of us, eating brats at the St. Johns the Baptist kiosk. ( Vintage Race Weekend ). It was fun hearing him speak of some of his past exploits in racing. The guy's a real hero in my book.
No one asked him his thoughts on Bruce ~ ~ ~ ( and being the classy guy he is, he probably would have restrained comment. )

He was an EXCELLENT racer and did well for the teams he was driving for and had his own Porsche GTR team, but I don't believe he and EFR got along all that well when Elliot drove for him. Seems I remember some words were spoken back in the day......I believe the '82 Trans Am Champion was faster and won more events than his boss and team owner Bruce Jenner did. I also think he was perhaps a bit more 'easy' on the car and drove with a hard charge, but a caring heart.
I have not followed the career path of the non-Olympian after this era of racing.
But, the other Bruce Jenner now known as Caitlyn, also drove competitively as well, and has been known thru the years to be quite active in his local PCA Region. He has owned a few Porsches over the years, but during this era I seem to remember him driving Corvettes in SCCA Challenge Races
