headlight linkage severs coil wire!
Just thought I'd share. Sunday, I changed my oil. Monday, I drove to work and back home. Tuesday, I started the car, turned on the headlights and the car died. It cranked and cranked, but wouldn't fire up. Appearantly, when I removed the old oil filter (obsessing about trying not to spill the oil with that assinine filter positioning) I got the coil wire in the way of the headlight linkage. Did you know the linkage makes a complete revolution??? It doesn't move one way to put the lights up and the opposite direction to lower the lights, it always rotates the same way, every time. Well, Monday's drive must have hooked the coil wire and pulled it some, then Tuesday pulled the wire to the breaking point.
I won't make that mistake again.
Thanks for listening.
Dale.

You can rebuild the stock cables if the end connectors are in decent shape. Just need the threaded brass end caps.
