NEW SPEC Brake Pad Teaser

For over a year now Lindsey Racing has been aware of EPIC Frictions somewhat secret hush hush entry into the brake pad market.

We were promised a pad that has better stopping power then the hawk pads with no dust, no squeal and 100% Made in the USA.

We weren't sure it was even possible to do all that in one pad.

Apparently it was, and we have also been working with EPIC and encouraging them to offer these pads at prices that would be hard to resist.

We suggested they right up front have the 3 sizes required for the 944
4 piston caliper cars brakes (Stock, S4 and Big Red) and hopefully cover the 944 NA single piston calipers as well.

They will be offering track pads in the future, but this will be a street
pad that should handle some track work such as Auto-X.

Look for full information and pricing on these new pad releases in the next few days on our web site.

We will be stocking all 944 models pads as available then move into the other Porsche models.

We have been authorized to do a introductory group buy with some savings to be passed along should their be enough interest to do so.
You guys decide once you see the pad details...

That is awesome. I'm sure they'll do this well.

EPIC Friction

The brake pads are going to be offered under the name EPIC Friction, not SPEC. Owned by the same people, but they are going to keep the brands separate and independent of one another.

When our SPEC inside salesman said they are coming out with brake pads, we just assumed it would be under their brand. Wrong we were!

Here is a link to a flyer which may answer some questions about them.

EPIC Friction Flyer

We have inventory on the way and our web page is ready for orders on two of the models of pads. We can hook up the Turbo and Turbo S as well as S2 and 968 with or w/o MO30 and some 911's and 928's.

Rather then do any kind of a organized group buy, we just discounted them about 15% as a introductory price. We can't say for how long that will go on. They are less expensive then Hawk's even at regular prices.

If they are as the Flyer says, they should be a winner!

How are they priced? Per wheel or in pairs? I might try these out for my front pads, my rear ones last much longer and dust hasn't been an issue. My front pads however coat my rims in black dust constantly, hard to keep them clean

Dan87951 01-21-2016 03:23 PM

Wow! No brake dust? Are they really claiming no brake dust from these pads? I have tried those dustless pads in the past but ended up having to replace my brake rotors more often. Hopefully, that won't be the case here. If so, I'm game!

Has anybody tried these pads yet?

Matt O. 09-28-2017 08:53 PM

Has anyone tried EPIC Friction in a 944 or 951 yet?
