Sunday we pretty much just have the VIR shooting range open for us. Nothing really official / structured. But if Sunday is all you got, come out in the morning and take down some targets with a bunch of 944 guys! It'll be a good time.
I made a half-assed attempt to find the range info when I signed up but couldn't find anything. Not knowing anything about it, do you know if they have any ammo restrictions? Basically, I just want to know if this would be a good opportunity to blow off some of my surplus steel-core ammo that I can't use at my indoor range.

I don't think there are any restrictions. It's out door and can back out to 1000 yrds. I'm pretty sure your good with anything. I'll double check on it though and post back later.

I'm organizing a 944 caravan to this years 944Fest, starting out in central FL on Wednesday and passing through Atlanta GA, Greenville SC, Charlotte NC, Greensboro NC all on Thursday up to VIR.

If any of you guys are along that route, please contact me so you can join us on the caravan! We will not be bombing down the highway - safe speeds for everyone. Plenty of tools and spare parts with the group as well, just in case anyone has a minor break down or flat.

Is there a safe place to keep our guns while we are on the track?

If there's no official place, I won't be partaking in the DE this year. So anyone can stash tools, guns, whatever in my car while they're out on the track.

Agreed!

I went to the 'Fest back in 2006 and 2007, and now that I've got another 944 I'd love to go again, but Virginia is a lot farther from Denver than Ohio was from where I lived in Indianapolis at the time. Maybe next year or the one after- once the 944 is buttoned up, I'll have to think about some kind of road trip.

Seems like we ought to be able to get enough interest in something out here in the West...

Sounds like they've been pretty fun before, again, would've loved to have tagged along. I'd be willing to do a road trip too only if it wasn't so far..

Yeah, you'd think there'd already be something like it out here.. Portland might be kinda cool - have a little burn around PIR and stuff. Not sure how thrilled everyone would be with that but just an idea.

Wish I had more time on my hands, think it would be cool to set something like that up.

Im doing the opposite. Its running well so Im driving it as little as possible. Just changing fluids, doing one Autocross event, then 944fest.

If anyone out there is still looking to register for 944Fest, please contact me first!

Some very bad luck has resulted in the need for me to sell my S2, so I will not be using my registration to attend.

I have contacted Travis and he is OK with me transferring my registration as long as we can coordinate and provide him proof of the deal, and then provide him with the necessary payment information. I believe the way this will work is you would arrange payment with Travis, and then once this is accepted I would get a refund.

I am currently registered for the T-shirt, the DE, and Karting. The total registration is therefore $400.

if anyone is able to help me out - my registration is otherwise non-refundable - I would really appreciate it. Please PM to coordinate.

Thank you!
