Oil leak when pouring in new oil

I have a new to me 944 turbo that I am getting ready for the road. I have let it idle in my garage before while doing some maintenance, etc. Never noticed an oil leak before.

I decided to give it an oil change today. As I was pouring in new oil, I heard something dripping. I look underneath and new oil is somehow coming down the back of the engine and hitting the exhaust and the back of the oil pan. Not all of the new oil came out but it was dripping pretty good. Thoughts? It is definetly at the back of the engine.

The oil fill tube is the "air/oil separator" (AOS), and is sealed to the block with two round rings. Sounds like your seals are shot, or the separator is cracked.

I think you may be right. When it happened, I was admittedly pour in the oil very quickly. I think the force of the oil being poured in was too much for the seals.

Any chance the old filter O-ring on the block was still on the housing and now you have two? If your AOS seals were bad it would have been leaking before the oil change. Pouring in oil too fast wouldn't cause it to leak IMO. It should be fairly easy to see where you are leaking from.
