It seems like this is the true measure of a Firehawk, it has the tech stickers. There weren't that many factory Motorsports made, but if they have the sticker they raced. Thanks for that!

That's a great idea Otto, frankly I never thought of it. Here are a couple of the tech stickers off of mine. I'm not sure of what chip is in mine. All I race is one HSR race a year, however I lent it to a friend a few weeks ago for a SCCA race at Roebling Road and it finished 1st in class and 2nd overall in E production in 2 races

Congratulations on the race! I can still make out a faint #63 on the white sticker, I wonder if there's a way to enhance it with Photoshop to bring out the detail? Try to preserve those as best you can, that's real provenance! I had no idea there were '88 S2s, I thought the first year was '89 so I learned something new.

I'm working on converting my stock '89 to a Firehawk spec, I'm about half done with it after nearly a year. It would be great to see any pictures you have of yours, especially the interior.

Otto, you are correct, it actually began its life as a 1988 944s and was owned by Bob Akin-Dave White Race School then was sold and converted by Dave White to a 944S2. I still have the MSO from Holbert Porsche. There were 8 of these that were equipped for showroom competition with the SCCA. Basically a stock 944 with option code M 220 which is locking differential. Also equipped without airbags or undercoating. I also have the bill of sale from Bob Akin to Charles Coker for only $4000 and the complete build invoice from White for $18,864.87 which includes the 4k for the car.

Did it originally have a sunroof or was that deleted later? I'm having an LSD installed in mine right now as a matter of fact, the transmission's out and in the shop, it's an AOS. I wasn't able to find a scrapped M030 suspension but Lyndsey Racing is still making replicas so that's taken care of.

On another thread I read, one of the comments is about a magnesium intake manifold, and another mentions custom cams made by Kelly Moss that were later copied by Porsche into the "Super Seven", but I've also read IMSA rules strictly limited modification to suspension only. Do you have any insight into that?

No sun roof, a/c, radio, electric windows, undercoating or airbags from the factory. The Certificate of Authenticity calls it a "Prototype Model"

Anyone sitting on a set of the 8"/9" width Phone Dials From the Turbo Cup Cars or S2 Firehawk cars that they would be willing to part with.

A few have come up in the past but it's been quiet for a long time.

I'm keen on a set for a S2 ClubSport project that I'm slowly completing.

How do you send a car to auction with a busted parking lens?

Yeah, seems like it could have been cleaned up better when asking $125k. I like all the adhesive residue on the upper cage tubing from roll bar padding that was removed.

FYI - For those who know of the Stone brothers, Kelly Moss Racing, I just heard that Dave died of cancer.
