Apparently I was too dumb to notice that the $82 price tag was for only one light...... In for a penny..... The singular bulb I did get in the mail looks like a very good quality unit.... I ordered the second one today, since my 944 is not to the best of my recollections ..... A motorcycle.....

Never made any claim to being the sharpest knife in the drawer....

Hey Girls,

I installed my left LED, (as I patiently wait for Brown Santa to bring my right one!��). Here are a couple of pics....

It just occurred to me that what I "should" have done is "the wall" test (bridge pier, in this case) is cover left, take pic, and then uncover, and cover right, take pic. At the same distance and conditions to give a better idea of individual performance..... Will try to do that tonight...... My initial impression..... I REALLY like these lights!!! I'm amazed at the knife edge cut off.... And clarity over distance.... I live in Eastern Bucks County PA..... Where venison on the hoof is a major problem..... I think these will help spot Bambi before she ends up as a hood orniment!!!

Oh, while on the subject of lighting.... Not sure if anyone has tested these LEDs for the dome lights.....
They are Super bright, and appear well made, they are about 1/4" shorter then the factory bulb.... But with th judicious use of a set of needle nose pliers..... Was good to go!!!

I hate the LED headlights in my truck. See that sharp cutoff of the light? I don't know how they pass safety requirements. You go over a hill in the road, and the light points down and you can't see 15 feet in front of you. Unacceptable!

Thanks for that tip Mike (and Moe). I've been looking at LED projectors for mine, I'd like to install the GTS style headlights and remove the pop ups, I know it's sort of sacrilegious but I think even Porsche did it on a few cars. Anyway, I thought while I was at it I might upgrade the lights. It sounds like doing it right is a whole lot more work than just installing new lamps/projectors.

The real ticket in the pop up housings is the Cibie h4 housings, high wattage bulbs and the relay harness. The GTS style is nice too, but the light output is not quite as good as the H4's from what i've read, because of the covers.

I see a couple Cibie offerings. Are those the Cibie E-code H4 7" housings you are refering to?
Or maybe these ones?
