Rogue Tuning - New Product: A new DME!
I am extremely excited and happy to finally unveil a 2+ year project...
As our cars age, the original DMEs are starting to die. At the time, they were amazing computers, and have still proven to be very capable. However, circuit design, manufacturing, and components of the time was very limited. After 25+ years, there are quite a few common issues with the DME, such as cracked solder joints, dying ignition and injection drivers, burnt & lifted traces, ect.
The only option has been to send the to a 'rebuilder', or try to buy a NOS unit - until now:

This computer is designed to replace the factory DME. It is 100% back-wards compatible in the 944 & 951!
Take your current DME chip, 24pin or 28pin, set the internal switches (to select 951, # of chip pins, ect), plug in the DME and drive away!

Fair question...
I'm sure this new DME is a big surprise - I've kept very quiet about it for a long time. As such, it has been very hard to get an idea of the market. Should I build 5 or 50 or 500? This greatly affects my cost/time/investment.
As soon as I have a bit more clear idea of the market, then I will post pricing (at least range-it).

Really interesting. What can you connect to the connector next to the FQS? Your DME-Logger/DME-Tuner? What are the many switches for?
Tell us a bit more about the things you implemented here.

To answer your questions:
The connector next to the FQS is for connecting a WBO2 sensor, & MAP sensor (for the 951), or possibly another sensor input. This way, we can connect new sensors to the DME without cutting the factory wiring harness.
The switches are for setting the DME up in 944/951/911 mode. Additionally, there are a couple more switches for selective use of the external connector.
Yes, the new DME can use the HVC-II coil! The only thing needed is the correct ignition dwell table in the software/chip.
Thanks!

Hey Josh maybe consider making a group buy page to get potential buyers lined up? Just thinking it would help evaluate some of the market and even could do a early deposit for those who are committed.
