The V8 engine has fewer problems. far fewer.
The swap presents challenges early on, then BOOM! SUPERCAR!!
a mix of you and your favorite other wrencher can keep everything going with a modest effort.
if you race it, then you have to do more. of course; it's a racing program.
otherwise; in the [car for everyday] context,
it's far less maintenance, way more power, performance....
when combined with the overall engineering of the car,
just endless jaw-dropping astonishment......
far less concern about a 'list of trust....'
you've eliminated the nightmare scenario,
and fits well inside the engine bay.
if you can make a tired 4 cylinder engine run a little, all the power to you.
but, you have to mash it every second of its life.
you effing kick the crap out of it.
the Audi/Porsche four bangers are infuriating on average over the long haul.

I'm shocked, but I agree with Arominus (only cuz we ain't talking politics)
This thread deserved to die long ago. If someone is particular fond of this thread, re-read it to yourself, quietly

Nothing like clicking on a thread and realizing it is years old. I clicked on the thread, saw the date, read a few posts, clicked the last post, and that's enough internet for now.
