I think the problem is that most people here do *not* have V8 Porsche conversions... and so, could only guess at the correct weight(s) for re-engined cars.

OK, depending on the year, the n/a 944 weighs about 2750 lbs (give or take a few lbs). So 2910 is pretty good. But, aside from the engine swap... how stock is the rest of the V8 car? It may have been moddified in other ways too. The stock (early) 924's were quite a bit lighter... a little over 2300 lbs. Although the 924 Carrera GTR weighed under 2000 lbs and had 385 hp.

Sorry , mines race weight with many glass pannels, for what it's worth (not a lot probably) it weighs in at 2165 with me in it, full cage and fire system, add 26 lbs for Nos bottle and gas, I run about 1/2 tank gas, to ensure it doesn't run dry. perspex side and rear, normal glass front screen. Working lights and wipers. although these are next to be removed now it's in the 10's.

just to show how good the books are... i weighed my stock 88 944 na today.
it had my MT lunch cooler, work shoes, 2 new coleman folding chairs and 3 cds in the glove box. and less than 1/2 tank.
it weighed 2930 lbs, no ****, 2930 pounds. i have the ticket to prove it. this is a stock 944 na, after the V8 goes in i will weigh it again. FLAME ON! porsche purists.

OK, when I read this suggestion, I was a bit skeptical, but supposedly it works.
If you measure the pressure in your tires in PSI, then measure the length and width footprint of each tire (in inches), you should be able to calculate the weight (in pounds) that each tire is bearing, and thus add up the weights and get a total vehicle weight.
For example, if I have 32PSI all around, and each of my tires has a footprint of 7" x 3", then each tire is bearing 672 pounds, for a total of 2688 pounds.
My car has 205's all around, which are about 8". At 32 PSI, the footprint would need to be 8" x 2.68" for my car to weigh in at 2750 pounds total.
Let me know if this is truly BS, I haven't actually tried it

Good in theory, but not in practice. Too many things (belts, cords, overlays) in a tire to screw this up. If you reduced the air in the tires, the footprint would reach a certain size and stay there. Might work with a beachball or a balloon, but not a tire.
