Boy, the first time I visit this forum in months and what do I see... a picture of my steering wheel :-)

I don't think you can go wrong with either wheel. I like the genuine factory product but the AJ copy is very nice also. My main gripes were with the pieced together leather and underlying foam that I felt was too soft. YMMV.

My Boxster S factory 3-spoke wheel has a silver cloisonné crest which is very nice.

Anyone have a photo of the factory 930 wheel with cloisonné crest?

Anyone? Anyone?

BTW Tom, thanks for creating the great website....very informative.

My girlfriend just gave me a 930S wheel from AJUSA today for my birthday (what a great woman, keeps me satisfied and supports my Porsche habit!) Nothing but good things to say about this product. I'll post some pics once I install it.

To those with an AJUSA 930S wheel, a quick question about the cloisonne crest. Did you affix the crest yourself? How does it attach to the wheel (glue or whatever)? Thanks...

Sean,

The wheel came from AJUSA already with the crest installed for me...a nice touch. I'll be installing the wheel over the weekend and will let you know how it goes.

Perry951,
From what I understand the Airbag wheel from a 993 or a 996 should work on our cars. I asked the guys a Weissach-Ruf and they said it should work (but wouldn't promise me). You can get a 3 spoke 993 or 996 airbag wheel w/airbag for about $450-$500 in excellent condition. I have considered doing this but I am still torn between this solution and Tom Pultz's. I am not really sure that I care about the airbag. Still trying to to decide.

good luck.
