Early 944 83' and I assume 84' at least my 83' had them. I suppose it is possible they where taken from a 924 in the past. But if that is the case, now you look open your options to the panels from a 924.

It's called "Porsche" cloth and was available on all 924/944's to 89 according to my book. It was apparently available in black, burgundy and light grey.

Ref: Peter Morgan Book (page 74).

Pretty certain those are not the script panels the op is asking about. The ones with "Porsche" embroidered into the cloth at a diagonal and repeating throughout is the script cloth. It was fitted to seat centers and door panels. I'll try and find a pic.

I've seen them in some 924s and in '83 944s, never any '84s or '85s. But maybe they're just rare? They are sexy, aren't they?

I have a pair in brown top / tan bottom. I don't think I want to sell them though - I'm saving them for the 924 I want to buy someday........

These were an option pretty early on in the original 2.0L 924 series. My 81 NA has them (for power windows), and the Club Sport (81 Euro 931) had them for manual windows. I've also seen them in brown. Never seen 'em in a 924S or 944, I always thought they were exclusive to the early cars, but I could be wrong about that.
