Do you know the weight difference between this and a US bumper?

Isn't that from a 924? The 944 looks different.

It is aluminum I believe, not sure the weight difference. Probably not much of a savings.

Too be honest I am not 100% sure what it is. I think I have the sticker with the part number, will look. But I know they had different versions of the Euro bumper. Many I see have 1 larger bumper pad and not the small pad in between.

I also believe that the 924 bumper and 944 are not interchangeable? Anyone else able to tell by the pictures?

Thanks,

This is the Euro bumper I am familiar with, it has larger square pads at the front and is made of a composite (not metal). That could be for Australia, Japan, South Africa or some other ROW I'm not sure, never seen one like that. Are you sure its not a 924, sure looks like it could be. Anyway a nicer bumper all the same, glws

Yeah that's the ones I am used too seeing as well. Could possibly be different ROW.

Maybe it was Egypt that used the aluminum one if it wasn't Australia.

There is something strange about that bumper in the O.P. It does NOT appear to be a Euro bumper from an early 924. Take a look at this pic of my Euro 931 Club Sport:

Two subtle differences:
First, the inner black bumperettes on the 924 bumper wrap a little bit under the bumper (as in my photo). The bumperettes on the OP photo don't do this and appear to be a bit wider (although it's hard to tell exactly due to the angle of the photo).
Second, the Euro bumper has side marker lenses that have a different angle on the face of the side marker. It is very subtle and hard to tell if you haven't looked at them side by side, but it appears to me that the side markers in the O.P. photo are US side markers. This doesn't surprise me, BTW, because many of the Euro bumpers that made it over here didn't come with all the right parts, and I've seen more than one where the side markers were replaced with US units. They work OK, but there is an alignment issue where the sidemarker meets the outer (smaller) bumperette that separates the sidemarker and the driving light.

I'm not saying that's not a Euro bumper, but there's something not quite 100% accurate about it...
