The gentleman I got it from raced Porsches and worked in close relations with some team if I remember correctly, don't remember exactly, had this about a year now.
This looks like the exact same bumper:

The seller states its a 924 Carerra GT style. Maybe I have something more rare than I thought...
Also found it in the PET Part # 477 807 109 C - Remarks for a 79' 924 Turbo Model M0588/288. Any idea on the model info?

Seems like this bumper is deff 924 Turbo 79 model?
The above part number # 477 807 109 C was found in the PET for the 924.
When searching through the 944 PET bumper is also available with a part number 931 505 109 01.
So regardless, looks like a 931 Euro bumper.

It is definitely NOT a Carrera GT bumper, which has a one-piece integral bumper+valance:
This appears in the 76-79 924 ROW PET, Illustration 802-05, which depicts a Euro style bumper with the smaller more squarish bumperette. PET does NOT indicate that it is market specific, nor that it is 931-specific. The main difference appears to be that this particular bumper was setup to be installed with the shock absorbing mounts (which is what the M058 option code refers to), rather than the simple twisted metal mounts that I am familiar with, and which are depicted in the preceding illustration (802-00).
This bumper does not show up in the US version of PET, so it appears to be a correct ROW-style bumper with all the correct parts that could be mounted directly using US-style shock absorbers.
I learn something new almost daily about these cars!

It certainly looks like the main shape is from a US 944, the Euros have the license plate cut out which this doesn't have, plus the Euros are composite not metal. The lighting looks 924 type, but it's those rubber "bumperettes" that throw me. The 924's are more elongated and extend below the bumper and the 944 Euros are squarer and flatter. It's either from an obscure country or a frankenbumper.

Well the bumper is sold!
It was deff. factory had a 931 part number on it. Its a weird cross version, its a aluminum bumper with the euro fogs but mounts with traditional USA bumper shocks.

I have that same bumper, I got it from a gray market (european) 944. There were 2 versions of ROW 944 bumpers, one is the fiberglass one that everyone knows, the other is the aluminum one which is basically a US bumper with driving lights and smaller bumperettes.
From the little research I did back when I bought it, it was equipped on cars in certain parts of europe. It's not quite as nice looking as the fiberglass one, but it's way better than the US one, plus it won't crack like the fiberglass one.
