Default Removed my A/C Compressor Guess How Many Bolts were holding it on

I removed my ac compressor because I was having tensioning problems and thought the front bolt was sheared. When I removed it I was rather surprised. I was driving for about 2000 miles with it the way it was. I guess I'm going a/c delete now.

Correct. I have no idea how it lasted so long. The front bolt was sheared and the rear one was missing. I'm going to do the 944 cup a/c delete for now.

I can't believe the belt wasn't shreaking from alternator load?! Must have been jammed against the block?

Well this is why you have a belly pan/Batwing.

To catch bits when they fall off.

Especially bolts/nuts when you're doing a quick job without the car jacked up -.-

Yup it was jammed. Occasionally the belt would shriek but it would go away in a couple seconds or I would add tension. If I turned on the a/c it would shriek until I turned it off. Just last week I drove basically from DC to NYC with no issues.

Maybe the AC tensioner was tight enough to keep it out there, and it is fairly well jammed into the bracket...crazy.
