If they are hydraulic you should be able to see the valve on the bottom.

Interesting thread! A quick search shows Rein Automotive owner by CRP. When you check for a MM in the "online" catalog, it doesn't list one. The Master catalog shows a part number, but they're hard to find on the web for sale.

A press release from Rein Automotive says that if the manufacturer specified a hydraulic mount, thats what you'll get from them.

EDIT: I just ordered some to see what shows up.

Does anyone know anything about the "Hamburg Technic" branded pieces?

This picture appears to show the correct metal coating, at least. I couldn't find any other pictures to confirm anything else, though...

Also, never EVER buy anything from AA. You'll regret every second of it.

The ad I ordered from had a zinc coated (gold) finish. I just figured they were old "new" stock.

Thats the same ebay item I ordered. Color isn't a great indicator of the quality of the mount, though.

1. Rein may be making them, again.
2. Reiin may be selling rebadged crap (Meyle, HT, etc)
3. These may be solid.
4. These may actually be Rein hydraulic mounts for $79/pair with free shipping.

I'm willing to live with 1, 2, or 3. Cartwheels if number 4.

Well..I have a used set of real Porsche mounts on the shelf for comparison. If these are not as advertised...they are going back. I'm only doing this repair once.

I agree being gold isn't a marker of quality..but is consistent with the factory mounts. If they were silver, it would be a red flag of aftermarket garbage... considering the price.

I just got mine (eBay "Rein" mounts). There IS a number on them, 951 375 04204, very small, right next to where they ground off the equally small mfr's name (I assume). They are covered with mold release, look sloppy, but looking up the hole in the bottom I do see what appears to be a small bit of metal in a ~3mm hole, would that be the "valve"?

And yeah, they are silver, not chromated.

Will somebody turn the Rein $80 MM pair over and look at the tiny valve....please.
(not able to post picture now).

If you search for the 2012 Rein catalog, it shows picture of the MMs to be silver metal finish.

I was concerned because of the rubber mold rough finish to the silver metal compared to smooth OEM Porsche quality. The 2012 Rein catalog shows the rough rubber molding finish.

Maybe these are production seconds?? And numbers rubbed off?

Or our engines will fall off the frame

Hamburg Technic fall into the bottom category of motor mounts.

See my post above, not entirely sure what the valve looks like?

The numbers are etched into the mold on mine, not standing proud of the surface. Very small and fine numbers.

The valve on the MM looks like a BB in center.

That's about what I see, a small shiny, rounded metal piece in the middle of a formed circle. Hope to start on installatin tomorrow, so we'll see.
