Default Painted n/a calipers?

I searched and saw one or two, but most of what I'm seeing are turbo calipers. Anyone have some examples of n/a single piston calipers that have been painted? I'm waiting on a rebuild kit for one of my rears but I figure I might as well pull all four and clean them up.

I'm tempted to just sandblast them clean and leave them silver. They're cast aluminum aren't they? If so I might not even bother with paint.

If I do paint them they'll be white, silver or black.

I went for the red on mine. Blingie, I know, but I love the look so I'm ok with it. However, I had them powdercoated instead of painted so they have held up pretty well.

I painted the calipers on my Miata and I regret it. Despite my best efforts, the paint still gets chipped and are harder to keep clean which makes them look that much worse. If I had it to do all over again, I would have left those calipers alone. Fortunately, the wide openings between the spokes on my wheels make it easy to keep them clean so that works out.

Anyway, since I'm not exactly sure what angles you are looking for, I'll just post the pics that I have that show the calpers.

BB.

Awesome! Thanks guys. My calipers look like they have never been cleaned in their 230k lifetime. I just had no idea what they would actually look like with all the grime removed after a little TLC.

I don't mind red, and on a car with red accents I think it looks sweet, but I'm leaning towards white or blue accents with my car. My daily driver is grey and black so I figure I'll do something different with the 944.

I'm hoping my caliper rebuild kit will show up soon so I will be forced to make up my mind, the mulit-colored calipers would look pretty sweet...

Thanks, don't think I'll leave any iron exposed if I can help it. Paint it is!

To me RED calipers on a Porsche mean something, so I didn't want to do that on a 944 so decided on high heat silver.
I also found some heat resistant caliper decals in red, which came out pretty nice I think.
Sorry, you can't see much through the Fuchs though.....

They make caliper paint that is specially made for hi temps. You can get it PepBoys and other places I am sure. I've used their black paint and its held up extremely well.
