Default Alternate Early Stub Axle. Just $80! Could it work?

So, I have my slightly worn stub axle out. It's very tight going back in due to a small ridge at the outer bearing race position. Personally, I plan to just bash it back in. But what do you guys think of these non-Porsche axles? They look almost exactly the same. Compare to the picture at 944online. Brian.

Of course they look just fine, however looks and dimensions are two very different things.

Already been discussed. Some people are using them with no issues.

I read all 11 pages of that post. Great info, but they're discussing late main (cv) axles. I'm talking about early stub axles.
