Nice guy, yes, trustworthy, NO. Ask him why he needed to fix his car so quickly.

Huh? If you were man enough to have it elsewhere this wouldn't be necessary. Some nerve you have.

Well I will bring this thread up to the top bcz I seem to be having the same problem.

Car was running warm (according to factory gauge). Bled the system and there were some small burps....so good thing I did it. Replaced the temp sender for the fans......just to be sure.

I was about to replace the thermostat.....but I took the car for a quick drive to see how it did after the above changes. The gauge will rise to below the upper white line....never cross it. BUT.....hitting a good bump and even shifting...the needle will fly all over the place (down actually.....to where I am use to seeing the needle sit) and end back up below the white line.

Ground issue for the gauge? I suppose this may also solve why my speedo doesn't pick up until 20mph? What are the steps to take?

Thanks a lot guys!!!

will i think you either got a bad ground or a bad gauge cluster. check the grounds on back of the engine

and you probably have a bad speedo sensor on the trans as for the speedo not working till 20mph. or maybe it needs to be cleaned

The big ground wire is good (connecting to the back of the block). Next is to pull the cluster? Any advice....havne't done that one before.

Thanks!

there are two grounds on back of the block. one has two wires into one
