I forgeot to say, there were other 951s at the drag strip, but stock 220 and 250. They thought i was a LUX until we pulled off, the n/a gearbox ratios made it run away all through.

people say the n/a box wont cope with 951 power, this car is used every day, hard launces on the drag and driven hard most of the time ok so far. The boost peaks at 1.4 bar.

gearbox......transmission....whatever.

Thanks guys, I'm on the tidy up now.
It has a few dings and dongs, worst being the door I damaged in Germany when the door blew into a petrol pump.

Porsche Dave supplied a good matching door-

It was this stage when the sun went in and it rained!

I never seem to leave Dave with only the item I went to get, so you will see in the pics a new fuel flap as mine went floppy and a pair of turbo rear discs as ive been running the wrong ones.

Yes yes.. RUF didnt do a 944.... but they should have, so i did. - and a BTR no plate..

This month, I put in a gearbox that doesnt chatter on idle, and bought a 924 turbo bonnet and today I collected it fron being painted...

I have a rear beam with stiffer bars (i think) which I will be fitting this weekend..

Thanks guys,
I have not done a qtr mile with a k28/8 fitted. With the 26/6 and a damp strip it was high 13s.
13.8 13.9 14.1. speed was 104/105
I need to go back on a dry day with the new bits, it runs 1.3-1.5 bar boost now and is much faster.
(thats if i dont swap it for the 964 rolling shell i have just seen!)
