I had the same problem as the person who started this post. I have an '87 944 Turbo with airbags.
My horn would honk when making left turns (especially in hot weather). The left horn button was also very sensitive. The lightest touch would sound the horn.
This other Rennlist post helped me find the culprit. Follow the instructions towards the bottom of this other post. Pictures are included:

After ,removing the horn button, I found that the copper contact plate had become dislodged in the housing, so it was flopping around and making electrical when making left turn.

Make sure your horn fuse is the correct amperage. I had audi that set itself on fire because of horn lead touched the wheel column and fuse didn't burn out so instead wire loom under dash set itself on fire.
