Cabriolet and snow

What is the general consensus of storing a cabriolet outside in winter? We do get snow and sleet here in Maryland and I don;t have a garage.

Will a cabriolet top hold up winter, or should I expect leaks?

I'm looking for a 968 and I find that most are cabs-hard to find coupes

#1 Find a good quality, soft cover to go directly on the car(against the paint). Find at least one and possibly several other waterproof layers to go over the first cover. Secure them all very, very well and hope for the best.

#2 Rent an indoor storage space for the winter.

I wouldnt do it. The top/back window will age so much faster and yes probably leak.

Howard,
I live in MD and I have a 968 cab. Due to circumstances beyond our control in 2009 we had to leave the 968 outside all winter, including during "Snowmageddon." I'm going to echo the previous sentiments, it's absolutely horrible on these cars to leave them outside during the winter. Realistically, if you can't garage a cabriolet you should plan on replacing the top every 2-3 years.

Thank you for the feedback. The search for hard top continues.

When I was looking for an S2 cab I came upon more 968 coupes than cabs, so quite the opposite of you. Good luck with your search.
