Default Will these wheels work? (996/boxster twists)

Looking at a set of 996 twists as a potential candidate for my 83.

They're these wheels:
http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...elDetail&id=35

The ad claims they're 17x7.5 with 50mm offset and 17x9 with 65mm offset. Did these wheels come in that size? Wheel enhancement doesn't seem to show.

I have a set of 1" spacers. Will 65 offset sit too far in, even with them?

I think the fronts would work with spacers...

Help?

they would fit with the 1" spacers- could prob. use some fine tuning from there but you would be real close.

Do you have spacers or adapters?

They would work with the right spacers. However fuchs wheels look alot better on the early cars and are the right offset. You have cookie cutters now right? I migth be able to get you hooked up with a guy to trade out fuchs for cookie cutters. He has 944 spec race car and lots of Fuchs wheels and only one set of cookie cutters. We can't use fuchs on the race cars since they are lighter and more expensive. So he needs to get rid of some and get cookie cutters.

Might be able to work out something.

Thanks for the offer joe.

I have phonies and like them better than fuchs. The fact that fuchs are lighter and more valuable is tempting... But I'd really like to get a set of more modern wheels.

I got the 1" spacers to use late offset wheels, like 55mm, on the car. SO that means the 65mm will sit in an extra 1cm. Will that 1cm cause any problems?

Default 9 in rear

Keep in mind in the rear you are also increasing the width The back spacing may come to close to the parking brake cable.
Here is a set of 17" 993 aftermarket twists on a early offset 85 \ 944
17 x 9 et 15 no spacers

you might want to take a look at the cable clearance

et 65 wheel -25mm spacer = et 40mm

40mm -15mm et shown in picture above = 25mm so your rim would be about 1" further inward than shown in above picture.

I think the et 65 you listed is incorrect I didn't see wheelenhancement publish that et.
The 944racing.de site shows the et as 55 - if so you would be about 9/16 more inward. As someone else posted probably just make it. - The early steel arms ran that metal sleeve guiding the brake cable so that would be different than as shown .
