Looking for your collective esteemed advice.

Planning to replace Inner & Outer Sway Bushings as well as the Front control arm bushings next week.

I'm aware of HamburgTechnic version avail thru Pelican and Zims for $50.. the Lindsey Racing version for $295 and the "Genuine Porsche" mounts from EuroDirect for $138... trying to decide. :surr:

Ultimately, I plan on new Boge/Sachs struts and new springs..

1. My question is whether the Caster mount/bushing (part# 951.341.023.01) looks well enough to keep presently... ?

2. Must the strut be disconnected from the control arm to replace these control arm bushings?
TIA

PS: Yes, also bought new cam gaskets, oil cooler gaskets and new oil pressure sender to attack the evident oil leak .
Also researched all Peli and Renn threads on 951.341.023.01 thanks!

If it were me, I'd do the caster mounts, too. You might be able to do the bushings without removing the strut from the steering knuckle... But it doesn't much matter - you'll need an alignment afterwards anyway.

Hi Van..
Love your latest Lime Rock vid!

How many miles/years ago did you change out yours to the 968-style? Holding up well?
Did you go with Lindsey Racing monoball mounts or Genuine Porsche?
I assume you skipped the new cheaper Hamburg Technics?
Thanks!

Hi Ramius...
Same questions:
How many miles/years ago did you replace your orginal factory caster mounts?
They holding up well?

On my dearly departed turbo, I had all solid bushings - mostly Racer's Edge and Elephant Racing. On my new 944, it has the red weltmeister control arm bushings and 968 caster blocks. No idea how old they are, but they seem to be doing fine.
