Does anyone know what type of sheathing is used to cover these cables? I had a set of the original IceShark cables on my former car and loved them.

Robby - I'm still interested in a set for the 968.

Probably some sort of fibreglass. Be careful with non-fibreglass sheathing from many vendors, they'll melt. Here's a source for fibreglass sheathing (also cables & connectors): Eagle Day - Heat Resistant Sleeving.

I'm using Techflex Insultherm for my engine wiring harness. Looks very similar to the stuff that came on my Iceshark kit.

This is an old thread but it's worth a shot. I would also like a pm on all the wiring kits if still available. This is the first time I've heard about these kits. Thanks for pulling this thread from the archives.

Can't send you a pm, probably because you are a new user with only 1 post, but I have 2 full kits ready to go

Will these kits work on a 968?

I am interested, let me know where to send the money.

Rennbay has a headlight wiring kit. I don't know if it the same or meant to duplicate what the IceShark kit did - but it may be an option.

Yes will fit a 968

It looks like Rennbay upgraded their headlight kit to use weathersealed Bosch relays instead of the generic ones they initially offered, at the same price too

Sorry to do this but I bought a set from 944CS and have now had to escalate my case to PayPal because I paid $365 on the 5th of March for a set of these cables that were said two sets were on hand and I havnt received the one I paid for. I was given one phone call from 944CS three weeks ago saying they were on the way. I haven't heard anything sense and have sent him a message thru PayPal without any response. If the cables were in the mail I would have received them by now. Just beware to all. This is a shame to do and too bad. I don't like to do this, but it needs to be done.
