I was talking in generic terms. The next incremental increase from 330 mm (~13") is 355 mm (~14"). To do this custom, you would need to space the caliper out, make a new hat and buy the rotors. Coleman would be happy to do it for us. Can you say "group buy"?

Why, when you can fit inexpensive Cayenne 330 and 350mm rotors as well. The GT3 guys are running the 350 Cayenne rotors cause they are CHEAP.

I don't know from cayenne parts. What do you think is cheap? The VCI setup is floating rotors which are slotted, instead of drilled. There's a reason they run Coleman rotors in NASCAR.

Interesting. How does one measure offset on a brake rotor?

What is the ID of a Porsche hollowspoke 11x18 wheel?

Seems like they have some odd sizes on the cayenne: 330 mm (13"), 350 (13.78"), 368 (14.49"), 390 (15.35").

Are we going to 6-pot calipers? My DE instructors already accuse me of being able to come to a complete stop in the corner...

I just measured my old VCI hat/rotor assembly and 86 machined hub. The height of the rotor/hat is 80 mm and the OD of the machined 86 hub is a few mm larger than my caliper goes, i.e. more then 155 mm. You sure the cayenne rotor works? Maybe I need to get one from the local recycler...

Of course, given the OP title, GT-3 calipers would be a better choice:

Radial mount and it looks much lighter than the Cayenne caliper.

Or maybe vette? I never realized that they got around whatever patents Brembo might have on different sized pucks by just making individual pads for each piston:

Clever.

Do these cars really need this much braking? Doesn't that seem a bit excessive?

I've tested these INEXPENSIVE Wilwood calipers with the 330 Cayenne rotors and will be making adapter kits for them as well...

Yes, thoroughly tested under the 18" Turbo Twist II's

Excessive you say? Absolutely! When I was running the big reds with 330 mm floating rotors, 8.5x17 wheels with 255/40 comp TAs on a dry track at Watkins Glen, there was no lockup in the braking exercises. That builds confidence.

The equivalent horsepower calculated from negative acceleration works out to be a couple thousand horsepower. Where are you gonna get that kind of bang for this kind of cheap?

The Boxster-S rotors are 67mm offset so the extra 2mm offset of the Cayenne rotors is a no-brainer.

OK, but HOW are you measuring rotor offset?

You must have some manly calipers. Mine is only 6". Pretty average. Thanks for the pics.
