Default Which thermoswitch?

I haven't been hearing my cooling fan come on in my 951. With the car off and if I press the A/C button I don't hear the fan engage. Also, the temperature gauge started to rise to the top white line after idling for a short period of time after coming from drive but the fan didn't come on. I'm thinking I need a new thermoswitch but it looks like there are a few to choose from. What is the correct sensor temperature range I need for an '86 Turbo?

Forgot but make sure to check your fans relay first before ordering the switch.Hopefully it will be the switch (fan relay cost a fortune unless you can get a good use one).

There are actually two types/temp ranges for your car. The fan switch is matched to your coolant thermostat. A 71 thermo matches a 75 switch and a 80 thermo matches an 85 switch. There is also an 87 thermo but no switch listed to match.

Take the old one out and it will be stamped on the side with the temp. I would order the same temp unless your fans stay on for a long time after you shut off the engine. If that is the case order the next higher temp switch.
