cars getting HOT!!! some help
OK, i just recently put all my A/C stuff back on the car after doing an A/C overhaul. the condenser is now blocking the radiator and that's making it run a bit hotter. at idle, the car gets above the 3rd mark and close to the red... while I'm driving, it is bellow the middle. i have been reading other posts and just checked all the stuff. the coolant has no air in it, i have the steam vent kit, new water pump, thermostat works, silicone hoses, radiator has been flushed. fan fuses are good, the relay is working i think...lol.... both fans come on with the a/c(low). the fans come on when hot(low) but the fans don't come on (high) ever...? that i know of.... how can i get the fans come on (high) around the mid range? or does anyone have any suggestions?

I too am having Running temp issues... I have no advice on the Fan Speeds.
But I have placed blame on my Radiator by this logic: Car runs hot, even while moving at highway speeds. I turn the Heater on High, and my temp goes down quite a bit... so it seems a 2nd radiator is helping becaue the 1st radiator sucks at doin it's job...
So you could try this^ and see if it yields any results...

highway driving, or any driving for that matter brings the temp down to normal almost instantly (previously stated) this leads me to the fans, hense the speed question... the radiator is old but is not cloged, i flushed it out pretty well and used cleaner ok for aluminum.

Test your fan relay. Here's the link to the procedure at Clark's Garage. http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-ma...#laterelaytest

It certainly might be a fan issue; But a question about when you flushed your radiator:
Did you just run a flush through the radiator/cooling system? or did you remove and clean the inside and Outside?
I ask because last night i Removed my Radiator, held it up to a light, and i could barely see through it... After running water through the fins, and Shaking for 10 mins (Tons of Dirt came out) I held it back up to the light and I could see right through it... Point being even if the inside is not clogged; the outside could be clogged and really limiting the amount of air flow, thus not effectively cooling the water inside...

And same with your A/C condenser.
Over the winter I went through and cleaned out all the fins in my condenser. I had a pretty substantial pile of dirt and crap on the floor from all the stuff I picked out of the condenser.

i think that may be a part of the problem.... for some reason i keep thinking i have a 190 degree thermostat... i think that is a bit higher than "stock" i have a few other ones lying around so i will look into swapping it... while im at it i will probably pull the radiator and clean the crap out it....

As an update: installed the cleaned up radiator. Temp is down significantly, oil pressure is also staying higher -due to being cooler.
Definitely clean you AC condenser while your in there. I regret not cleaning mine.
