Default Oil in water

I have oil in my 944 auto, no sign of water in the engine, no sign of water in the transmission oil.
Anyone have a suggestion where to start to look for the problem.
thanks

Do you mean that you have oil in the coolant? That's typically the oil cooler seal, check out clarks-garage.com for details on how to repair it. It's not beyond the typical shadetree mechanic and isn't as outrageously expensive as some things on these cars.

Get more infos about you problem here, www.clarks-garage.com once you replace the oil cooler seal, flush the cooling system (rad /expension tank )several time since the is probably oil deposite inside the hoses /rad ect ect.So that you don't loose anytime searching ,once on the site (click Garage Shop Manual )scroll down to (Oil Cooler)If there is oil mixing with anti -freeze you should have something that look like a chocolate milkshake in your expension tank. BTW oil in your tranny don't have anything to do with your problem since transmission /diff on a 944 is completely separated from your motor, may I suggest that before you start doing any work on the car you familiarizes yourself with all aspect of it.Take care & GL .
