Drive in the Rain?

Drifting
My first track day was in the rain-
I will one up you and say RA1s in the snow, my tire situation was bad, they were all I had mounted. Sideways on a straight flat road with minimal throttle input (no LSD). It was a little scary.

I've got a MBC under the hood... considering moving it inside the car JUST to be able to dial it down for rainy days, or if the wife decides she wants to take it for a spin.

After I painted my wheels white, and have added a DD to my mix of cars, I try not to drive in the rain. Purly because I want to keep the wheels clean so I don't have to keep removing them to get rid of grime. It used to me my DD and I would drive it no matter what!

Well considering I'm in Arizona, we never see snow! It rained quite a bit today, but my car sits outside anyway and isn't at all clean and has very much oxidized guards red paint... Lol so that's a Yes, I drive it in the rain :P

If it's raining, I'll take the Cayenne; but that's because there's nothing more fun than tossing a 944 around (even if it's just the mile down the road to the grocery store), and rain kills that. Same with the snow: that's why I bought a Cayenne. But, I will take the 944 out for the occasional winter drive if the roads are dry.
I need to get the 928 moving again: it was intended to be the 'beater' Porsche. But, everytime I get a little money put aside to sink into it, one of the others pops up. This week it was $1,100 for the 944 (60k service, belt kit, two tires, hood struts).
This is a gorgeous picture. Can you post a high-rez version?

Driving in the rain: No, not in the streets.
Racing in the rain: Yes. Not my photo but I was in the same race...

All my cars are driven rain or shine... hell I daily drove my 64 ford one winter and handled the snow and ice better than most new cars.
I can't stand people who are afraid to or just won't drive their cars just because its wet out... it's a car, it was made to be driven.

My fiance is driving the '83 everyday and once with a massive dump of snow there was a short somewhere near the battery and a burt wire smell that went away in seconds (no blown fuses no other issues), today is our first rainy day and she said the same thing (possibly headlight related) again no blown fuses but a similar very brief burt wire smell. Where to start?? Is the headlight relay under the dash?
