Default Fuel Sending Unit Wiring

Need to make sure this gets done correctly.

Someone who touched this before me didn't connect it correctly, and had it put together with electric tape. *sigh*

I've looked thru the shop manual and can't find the wiring diagram for this. .

The male posts read as follows:

W

G T

I know brown is ground, but am unsure if it should go into the G part, since there is a green wire. And, as you can see...someone made a mess of it.

Anyone that can post a pic or tell me what goes where will be rewarded with good karma and my undying thanks.

INSIDE that black cap. The wiring. I've read that from Clarks, but I need to know how to rewire the inside of the electrical contact. Look on the video, it's not correct.

If someone were to open there, and pop that top and tell me what goes where, I'm good to go.

Bonus points if you can tell me the part number or what it's called so I can replace it.

Info from my 1987 944 NA fuel sender connector. Sender terminals are marked "W" white wire connected, "T" with brown wire connected and "G" with green wire connected.
A good used connector could probably be purchased from George B. at:
