Ohhh neato!

I had a couple 1988 BMW 735I's that used the same PS reservoir as the 944's as well. I think its been used on a couple other BMW's around that era. One of the 1995 740I's had it as well.

Yeah those are used on everything. One of my friends used to have some BMWs that had them so we always joke about it when we find out a car has it.

Yep, BMW-era Rovers had them. The clear ones found on 968s, and 964/993 911s are trick...cool upgrade to see how much P/S fluid our 944s leak.

I thought the clear ones were NLA, mainly because they all leaked like crazy? My friend's '92 968 had a clear reservoir, we replaced it with a black one because it leaked. My '93 and '95 have black ones, and I'm pretty sure the '95's black reservoir is the original one.

My Audi uses the exact same PS pump as the 944/68, just a different pulley. You'd think the reservoir would also be the same but it's not.

I see these things all day in BMWs at work. I always thought Mercedes' were funny with the reservoir being integrated with the pump... its just a pump with a cavity on top and a big lid and wingnut.

You don't see them complaining about leaking hoses at the reservoir, do you?
