Default Porsche 924 cabriolet

Found this on ebay UK.I know these conversions were available here in the early eighties,but I have never seen one in the flesh only in magazine articles.
Not too sure about the heavy looking rear end and the chrome roll bar though.

That makes the first 924 convertable that I have seen. I have seen several variations of it done on 944's (mine being one of them). This one looks like they could have done a better job rounding out the decklid. It looks very flat, and stands out against the rest of the soft curves.
Any pics of the top? It looks like it is purely a "snap on" style of top, unless it is really tucked in well in the pics.

I'm surprised. Not a fan of the roll bar or the deck lid but the body style really works well as a convertible. Glad this isn't for sale anywhere near me. I'm running out of room...

Looks alright. Decklid is awful,though.

I agree, IMO is not a bad thing.

German Miata......what the Boxster is kinda supposed to be.
