Default Camber Plates for 944/951-Lindsey or Racers Edge?

I have Racers edge on my S2 and have another S2 that I'm modifying the suspension. Anyone have track experience with the Lindsey's? The new car is a "real" S2 Firehawk.

Go with RE. I have the LRs and they have quality issues.

I agree. They may be expensive but you get what you pay for.

I've been very pleased with my Ground Control camber plates that I bought many years ago, no issues what so ever (now living on their second race car). I also have many of the RE suspension parts, so I would expect their camber plates to be very nice pieces.

Do the LR camber plates have the same separate needle bearing assembly for the spring hat seating surface, as the ground control units?

Have heard there are problems with the GC units when used on lowered track cars. The large bearing assembly reduces allowed shock travel by about 1" which causes the lowered cars to hit the bump stops - so the cars have to be raised up.

Any of you proponents of the GC units have any shock travel issues? What ride heights are you running? And what front struts do you have? I am estimating the height of the track cars mentioned is around 12.0" from hub center to fender lip, and using mostly koni struts.

Also, the spring hat only has about a 1/4 to 3/8" high spring seat. I am assuming the springs fall off the hat seat when the suspension is at full droop (car jacked up). Any problems reseating the springs when the car is set back down? I am used to using spring hats that have a much taller spring seat/guide.

For the GC units, the shock travel is indeed reduced. I modified my bump stops by shortening them to help. My car is lowered about 1.5" from stock (A arms about parallel to ground). There is still sufficient shock travel with my 350# springs. I also run a 30mm front sway, so my suspension travel is much less than stock. I think if you had softer springs it may not provide sufficient travel. My car is mainly used on the track and they overall setup works great. Note that the GC allows increase in caster, which helps with camber gain. This is the reason I chose the GC units.

I've never had problems with hitting the bump stops on my setup with GC. Of course I'm running 650 lbs springs on Ledas with M030 bars on a fairly light car. I've got the car as low as I can go before the tires rub the inside fender well on full compression (and before the bump stops).
