Default Your favorite places to drive the P-car!!

doctor said my pulse was too high...And this is why! I'll show you my favorite drive that I've ever discovered. it just never lets down. never. Once you drive this road, you will always want to come back. You may even think about it all day at work or school, while your Porsche sits patiently outside. sparse traffic, challenging turns, elevation, the wide open, scenery...it even ends at the the Pacific ocean. please enjoy.

Thanks.

I know the feeling, my S2 is parked for the winter and all I can think about is going back to a loop of roads that are simply awesome! Not as scenic as Cali, but none-the-less great driving roads.

http://maps.google.ca/maps?oe=utf-8&...ed=0CAcQtgMwAw

It's a loop just west of Montreal and just before Rigaud off rte 201 between St Georges and St Henri. I can hear the engine climbing through the rev range, I can feel the rear tires scrambling for traction on a dusty section. I can smell the hot brakes, I can feel the limited slip doing it's job, a little opposite lock coming out of the corner... Man I Can't wait till spring!

My favorite drive in the Hudson Valley (just north of NYC). Best enjoyed on a weekday (it's a popular weekend destination)

All the good roads here are patrolled by police because of all the motorcyclists deaths (they've spoiled it for all). My favourite place to drive my car is on a race track. Though I would like to drive Targa Tasmania one day - http://targa.org.au/Tasmania/targatasmania_home.html

Unlimited speed and some of the greatest roads on earth.

Here's a beautiful mountain road that varies from about 7200' to 8800'. I don't like or advocate hot-******* it though there, too many people, elk, deer, etc. but maintaining the speed limit is plenty of fun, and the scenery is spectacular.

and yeah, they scrape a crotch rocket out of the trees a couple times a week...

I really enjoyed driving my 924S on NJMP's Thunderbolt track last fall

Aside from the track, I always enjoyed driving my car on Rts. 5 and 10 in Vermont and NH (I used to do a loop, going north on 5 from Norwich, VT, crossing over the Connecticut river into NH and then coming back down on Rt 10. Beautiful scenery and nice turns!

I miss driving in Northern California. Nowhere else that I've been has roads as fun and challenging as the ones that I used to drive on the coastal range.

My favorite was one that I drove when I had my '83 944 N/A: Hecker Pass (HWY 152 W). It's a quick run between Gilroy, CA and Watsonville. If I had a little extra money that week, I'd fill up my tank and drive the road just for the hell of it. Another awesome drive is the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) aka HWY 1. I drove all the way from Long Beach up to HWY 156 once, which was about a 10 hour drive. If I was going to do it again, I think I'd stick to 101 until I got out of Los Angeles and then get on HWY 1 where there's less traffic.

I'm in Dobbs Ferry, Westchester, about 20 minutes from Stamford. Weekend drives sounds fun, count me in as soon as the snow is gone
