LT1 Swapped
This is my buddies 1981 928 with a LT1 conversion

Im not a huge fan of the swaps but he did a really good job. Its about as quick as a chipped and cat deleted 951, so Id say thats quite a bit quicker than the stock 4.5L

He removed a single turbo 4.5L as a rod didn't hold up to well under the high boost levels. So he installed a cammed LT1 (I don't see the intellect in it either). I have the kit currently and will fit it to a 928 one day. Its a very simple set up.

Another local supercharged 928 (87) has been pushing 30psi longer than my car has been supercharged.
Rod issues are very rare with 928's.

I suppose this one was a odd case. The turbocharger that was used in the application is a little larger than my 61-1 and the boost settings were always 15-25lbs depending how heavy his foot felt. The car was wicked.
