I'm the owner of that car. Yes it is a sleeper except for the sound. It has shocked some high dollar Porsches and it will pull away from a V8 M3. It is undervalued but the reality is that banks won't loan the same with a rebuilt title. That's the fact I'm stuck with. If the title didn't say rebuilt an inspection would never tell you. If you found a cheap donor and did all the work yourself, you would be hard pressed to come in under that price. I redid the interior and the door panels with no cross stitich was a personal preference. I like the smooth look but it's debateable. Nothing about the car is stock anyway. It's tons of fun and has tons of torque. If Porsche had stayed with (in my opinion) their best series, this is the car we would have gotten: a bat out of hell that looks great.

i've made hundreds of posts making the same points.
make every cosmetic upgrade possible, all proper P-car performance mods,
then add one of those billion dollar Goodwrench LS motors.
the only thing i would have done differently is changing out the gears for taller 5th and 6th which is a riddle that has been solved.
i've gone on a huge shopping binge the past 6 months. i'm just now passing $ 40 K doing many of the upgrades you have done... for me, your car comes just a couple of months too soon. that car is a beast.

price drop to $ 12 K. so, i decided to buy it.... so reaching for the phone....
so, as of today.... car is now GONE. i missed it by a couple of hours.
it's ok... loved the conversion but i really prefer a hard top. cheers to the lucky buyer though.

no such luck... i missed it by a couple of hours.
January/February/March's projects will be the limited to
1. complete the LSx 6 speed transmission. (195 mph/6000 rpm)... Roger at California Motorsports will be doing the box.
i decided to go with the taller .600 6th gear... (184 mph 968 gear will be available for sale).
2. 993 Xenon Litronic headlamp install.
3. the long awaited 997 front splitter fitted to the bumper.
